Identifiable Information Collecting

All methods of identifying yourself to GE will be optional and opt-in, may be updated by you at any time, and will not be required for all areas of the web site.

We will not collect any identifiable user information from the areas of the HealthAhead web site which do not require SSO (Single Sign On), unique User ID (Identification), and/or Password.

There are areas of the web site that require you to identify yourself to us (authenticate). This allows you to access certain parts of the web site that may otherwise be restricted for privacy and security purposes.

There are also areas that may provide the option to create a personalized profile. The information you provide is optional and what you tell us will determine the level of personalization you will experience.

Access to identifiable information is restricted to internal, administrative personnel and solely for purposes of providing web site support, awarding prizes and other recognition, and customizing the web site content and overall functionality for the user. However, we will also allow you to change your mind and opt-out of sharing personal information with us at any time.

Non-Identifiable Information Collecting

When you visit the HealthAhead web site, we track, collect and report on certain aggregate and non- identifiable information. In other words, the information we collect does not relate to a single identifiable visitor. It tells us things such as how many users visited our web site and what pages they viewed.

This non-identifiable data will be collected and stored in a secure database in the U.S., and may be viewed by GE. We will analyze this information to refine our web site to better reflect user preferences, such as the type of content users are searching for most, and to improve the usability of the web site and the user’s web site experience. Like many web sites, the HealthAhead web site uses browser cookies – bits of text placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit. Our primary metrics include: Poll response rate, repeat visits, number of times content is shared, and visits by country.

The sub-metrics include:

Most Popular Content Types, Most Popular Content Topics, User Pathing, Exit Links, Bounce Rate, Traffic by Source (region), Time on Web site, Visit Time of Day, Unique Views/Page Views, Thumps Up/Down, Most Shared Content, Number of Times Content is Rated, Most Rated Content by Type, Language Selection.

We will also be tracking how much communicators, web site leaders and other HealthAhead operations teams are leveraging the web site to support and align their business, regional and web site specific efforts. Some of these metrics may be tracked using existing support central tools.

These metrics may include:

Number of Content Submissions by Region, Number of non-corporate Driven Promotions by RCs, Number of Promotional Downloads by Region, Support Central Survey

Feedback Form

Your feedback is important to the web site’s ongoing development, so we’d love to hear your opinions and ideas. To contact us, please use this Feedback form. We will not be able to respond directly, but all feedback will be reviewed, evaluated, and factored into future content decisions. Please note: this form is monitored by IT support staff only. Poll and Quiz Responses

On the web site, we will conduct polls and quizzes to better understand user activities, attitudes, interests and knowledge across multiple health topics. How to Set SMART Stress Relief Goals

Everyone experiences stress from time to time—and, unfortunately, there’s no magic solution to eliminate it from your life completely. However, you can learn to set realistic goals that may help you reduce your stress level and feel better on a day-to-day basis.

Today, take a moment to get to the bottom of what’s causing you stress. It may not be as obvious as you think. Once you identify your main stressors, you can start setting stress-relief goals that are SMART—Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-limited.

Identify your stressors

To effectively deal with stress, it’s important to learn what’s causing it, suggests the Mayo Clinic. Some stressors are external—things that happen to you. Other stressors are internal—thoughts or feelings that pop into your head.

Today, work on making a list of the top five sources of stress in your life right now. For example, your list might include:

  • Aspects of your environment that are getting you down, such as a messy desk, leaky ceiling, or noisy neighbors.
  • Social strains, such as an upcoming blind date or old family feud.
  • Worries at work, such as impending deadlines or uncooperative coworkers.
  • Major life changes, such as a pregnancy, relocating, or a death in the family.
  • Unanticipated events, such as a sudden visit from friends or surprise surcharge on your phone bill.
  • Internal stressors, such as fears, uncertainties, or unrealistic expectations that you place on yourself.
  • Once you have your list in hand, you can begin to address each item by setting SMART goals.

How to Set SMART stress-relief goals

To boost your chances of success, the Mayo Clinic suggests keeping your stress-relief goals SMART. In other words, they should be:

Specific. Is your goal well defined and narrowly focused?

Measurable. How will you know when you have achieved your goal?

Attainable. Can you realistically achieve your goal?

Relevant. Will your goal help to reduce stress in your life?

Time-limited. How much time will you give yourself to reach your goal?

For example, maybe the mess in your office has left you feeling lost and disorganized. In the long term,you might hope to get it clean and keep it that way. As a SMART goal, you could aim to spend ten minutes per day on filing backlogged records for the next two weeks.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by work, you might wish to achieve a better work-life balance. As a SMART goal, you could pledge to go for a 10-minute stress-relief walk on your lunch break for four days per week this month.

Perhaps you are dealing with some old emotional wounds. In the long term, you might endeavor to work through them with a trained professional. As a SMART goal, you could commit to asking your doctor for a referral to a mental health professional by the end of the month.

Other general goals may include getting more sleep or physical activity, taking a course on problem-solving or time-management skills, or scheduling time for relaxation techniques each day. Look for ways to turn these general aims into SMART goals, and then pencil them into your calendar. You can also write your goals (and timelines for completion) on a note and post it somewhere you will see it daily.

Whatever your stress-relief goals, remember to keep them specific, measurable, and realistic. Set time limits to help you stay focused and on track. And don’t hesitate to ask for help if you need it.
